Do you know of an employer in Santa Cruz or San Benito Counties who supports moms to breastfeed and/or pump breastmilk when they return to work after giving birth? This is a crucial part of the support that families need when moms are separated from their breastfed babies for various reasons, such as going to the workplace, going to school, or just being away from baby for several hours. Breastmilk is produced by a supply and demand process and when moms are at work or cannot directly breastfeed, milk removal is important to maintain the supply their babies need.
